6207421 1983 BMW R80ST Grey. 10K Service, Fork Rebuild, Neck Bearings, Master Cylinder, front Pads, SS Brake Line. New Battery. 21,669 Miles.

RARE BMW R80ST! Made 1983 & 84. Less than 4,000 world wide. The street version of the popular R80GS. The best BMW ever made for tight twisty roads!

The 1983 BMW R80ST was the first year of production. Originally conceived as a street version of their very popular R80GS, it was truly a bike before it’s time. Less than 1,500 were produced the first year, and about 2,000 the second, making this the rarest BMW every produced! A BMW this rare is destined to appreciate in value yearly.

This bike is seriously fun to ride! Weighing in at only 436 pounds with a full tank of gas, and a wheel base of less than 57”, it is effortless to throw it through corner after corner of the crookedist road you can find. If that road is patched and lumpy and full of potholes, no problem!

Bring it on! The gearing makes it accelerate very quickly. The longer suspension makes the bike glide on the highway; the rear monoshock handles it all with ease! Need to get down the road on the freeway? The cam timing allows the engine to smooth out even more the faster you go, and the bike never wants to wobble! It would be the perfect commuter, or back roads exploration bike.

This particular BMW R80ST is one of our owner's "Spare" STs, from his collection; it runs GREAT!

This beautiful BMW R80ST has very low miles, and has been well cared for.! We wanted to be sure all parts of this bike were good, or better; and that everything was functioning perfectly. We performed a BMW Factory recommended 10k service, rebuilt the carbs, installed new original Continental braided fuel lines, new inline fuel filters, and we cleaned out the fuel tank and found VERY GOOD original liner.

We installed new steering neck bearings, rebuilt the front forks. Touched up the paint on the swing arm and frame, just under the battery box. It is equipped with a Corbin Sport seat, and a pair of BMW R80ST Saddlebags on black mounts.

The chrome is shiny, the exhaust is solid. The tires are good. We cleaned the wheels and polished the aluminum rims. The paint is solid and still predominately shinny. There is a couple of very small blemishes on top of the fuel tank, and on the side at each end; still very nice overall for its age and mileage.  There is a tool tray, but no Tool Kit. Finally, we put a long test ride on it to be sure it was ready for decades of trouble-free service from its new owner.
