#2983024 -1972 BMW R75/5 SWB, Blue. Titled as a 1973. 10K Major Service, Resealed Motor

This beautiful bright Monza Blue 1972 BMW was originally sold and titled by the Dealer in 1973. This BMW is all correct and VIN Numbers Matching.  We have gone over the entire bike and rehabilitated it to “Very Good” condition throughout.

We resealed the Motor Top End and replaced the rear Main Seal and Oil Pump O’ring. While the top end was off, we decarboned the heads and piston tops. The transmission was inspected, re-shimmed and resealed, and the Neutral switch repaired. The Clutch was cleaned, Inspected and reinstalled, and the clutch splines were lubed.

New Spark Plug wires and Original Metal ends were installed. The original “Peg” type Ignition switch had been replaced with an actual Key type switch. A Factory Recommended Ground Upgrade Kit was installed in the motor. The Original instrument, @ 50,082 Miles was in poor condition, and we decided to replace it with a Factory new BMW Instrument at “0” Mile We replaced the Steering Stem Bearings, and Rebuilt the front forks.

The aftermarket center stand did not fit properly, so we installed a reconditioned stock center stand. Some frame paint was worn, so we touched it up. A new throttle tube and cam gear were installed with new hand grips. We rebuilt the carbs, replaced the throttle cables, and also the Clutch & Brake Cables.

We installed a new set of Progressive rear Shocks, and new rear Brake Shoes. New Original Style Round Footpeg Rubbers were also installed. The Exhaust Headers are in good condition, and the Reproduction original style “Cigar Tip” Chrome Mufflers are in Like New condition.

The paint is brilliant throughout. The only noticeable defect is the spot on the left rear top of the fuel tank. It has been touched up with a very good matching paint. There are a couple of scratches / chips in the black paint on the top of the headlight mounting ears; we will touch that up too ASAP!

New Dunlop Tires and new Tubes were Mounted and Balanced. Finally, a 10K Major Service was performed. Now that the bike is finished, we will make an extended Test Drive to ensure proper and dependable service.  A new battery will be installed when we sell the bike.

The bike starts easily and warms up quickly to a smooth even run. There is a Tool Tray with a Tool Kit under the seat.
