This Beautiful 1972 BMW R75/5 has just had a complete Frame up Cosmetic and mechanical Restoration. Everything is NEW or Rebuilt!
The work includes complete frame and sub-frame repaint, rebuilt heads, new rings, motor lower end inspected, engine ground upgrade kit installed, cam chain, rear main seal, oil pump specked and new o’ring, rebuilt transmission, inspected and resealed final drive, rebuilt forks, reconditioned instruments and hand switches, rebuilt carburetors, rebuilt petcocks, New steering neck bearings, Rebuilt wheels with new spokes and bearings and seals, New Metzeller Tires, New foot peg rubbers, all rubber boots new, New cables, New battery, New mirrors, New spark wires, New Headers, New mufflers, Rebuilt / recovered seat, New tank emblems, Tank and fenders are painted in original BMW Glazruit Avus Black paint with hand pin stripes, plus many, many more details.
After we finished building the bike we put an initial 650 Break-in Miles on the bike, then did a fluids change, engine re-torque and tune up, and an end-to-end inspection, adjustments, and retightening. The bike is ready to ride until the next Major Service interval (5000 Miles) with only a couple of periodic oil and filter changes in between.
This bike is near flawless and the closest you will ever find to a brand new 1972 BMW R75/5.
Those eagle eye detail freaks out there will probably whine “but the seat is not correct”. OK, it has a 1970-71 seat and grab rail, not a 1972-73 seat and grab rail. We will be fixing this in the near future, as soon as we get a good 1972-73 seat foam to do the job with. In the mean time, the seat that is on it is VERY nice, and rides perfectly.
