THIS BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE VINTAGE SHORT WHEEL BASE BMW WAS CUSTOM BUILT IN ITS PREVIOUS LIFE.

 The complete frame and body were painted a BEAUTIFUL Pastel mint Green, with Cream White Pinstripes in the traditional BMW style. It is equipped with Original Large BMW fuel tank with Cream White painted side panels and pinstripes. There is also a very nice pair of Craven Saddlebags painted to match. The seat was rough, so we found a very nearly new stock replica seat for it. If you prefer, we also ordered a VERY sharp full length (covers the rear fender and subframe) Cafe Solo style seat. The bike is available with your choice of either.

We installed BMW low & short EURO handlebars, New Throttle Gear and Handgrip Throttle Tube, Custom grips, new proper length control cables, BMW Factory “EURO” Long Mirrors, and Brown aftermarket sidestand. We ordered a set of Hagon rear shocks from Europe. It has “Sport” Chrome exhaust headers and a like new pair of Chrome MAC Mufflers. We installed new rear brake shoes. It also has like NEW Michelin tires and new inner tubes. Showing 32,000 on the odometer, it has matching VIN numbers.

It has Dual Horns with a relay on a custom bracket. There is a small period tail rack. There is a Period Chrome Headlight Guard loop installed.

When we started going over it to do a 10K Major Service, we soon realized that it needed more. New Points, Plugs, Plug wires, and a Ground Up-grade Kit. We rebuilt the Carburetors. New Continental Braided Cloth Covered Fuel Line. Inline Fuel Filter. Serviced the Instrument. Rebuilt the front forks, new Steering neck Bearings, and installed new 13 rib front rubber boots.

We found a piston with a hole in it, so we bored the motor to 1st over and installed New Mahle Factory Pistons & Rings. We performed a full Valve Job with New Guides and New Black Diamond Stainless Valves.

The Transmission was noisy, and we had another that had just been inspected and resealed ready to go. The Clutch & Flywheel were pulled and the Rear MAIN Seal and Oil Pump O’ring was replaced. The Clutch had some hot spots from slippage, so we replaced the friction disc and spring, and re-finished the Pressure Ring.

Luckily, we received about 2 Oz. of very thick 30 Year old same color paint. We were able to thin it and strain it and get enough usable paint to do several needed Touch-Ups. The front fender had a big scratch on the left front; we were able to touch that up, as well as numerous typical nicks on the frame, before we ran out..

Numerous other small items were addressed, and them we put 500 easy motor break-in miles on it. Followed by a 500 Mile Service, Oil Change, heads retorque, valves readjusted, and timing checked.

Now this Beautiful Custom BMW is ready to go to it’s new Forever Home with a new Loving Owner.
