We rebuilt the forks and installed new 13 rib Fork Boots. We installed a pair of headlight mounted mirrors. The cylinders were reciently bored to 1st over, but the rings were not fitted properly. We, replaced the piston rings, resealed the motor top end, and installed a new rear Main Seal and Oil Pump O’ring. New red paint overall, including Headlight Bucket & Headlight Mount “Ears”, which were originally black. An original factory pinstripe scheme was used. All new black paint was APPLIED on THE chassis.
The bike came to us with 18” Lester Mag wheels, front and back. We found a nice set of 18” Rear and 19” front /5 WIRE wheels. We de-spoked them, bead blasted the hubs, installed and serviced new bearings & seals, polished the rims, and re-laced the wheels with stainless spokes. New Dunlop Tires were mounted and balanced.
A BMW “Euro” Sport handlebar was installed. New Cables, Grips, switches and rubber switch boots, bulbs, Locks, spark wires, throttle tube and gear, rubber Knee Pads, Petcocks, Tank Emblems, H4 Headlight. An OE Tool tray is included, but no tool kit.
Transmission inspected internally and resealed. Clutch replaced with New. Instrument Serviced. New Reproduction Chrome Headers and Mufflers. The Seat Cover has been replaced. This BMW is equipped with Koni rear Shocks.
We performed a Factory Recommended 10K Major Service. This beautiful Vintage BMW is ready to ride for the season.
